Prolific film producer Karan Johar turns 53 today. Had fate not intervened so cruelly, he would have directed Sridevi in a film but just wasn't meant to be.
Neither Karan Johan nor Simi Garewal got Sridevi to appear on their talk show - which is a loss for us fans. Before Karan's show turned into a rather salacious and vulgar route, it was campy good fun. His Rapid Fire was cheeky, but never rude. Until it became... rather toxic.
When Sridevi was promoting English Vinglish back in 2012, the bigger-than-the-moon-ie-Chandni-landing happened when she appeared on a show, stage, platform with Madhuri Dixit. Karan finally got an opportunity to do a mini version of Rapid Fire with Sridevi. Twas cute.
Karan's going through his Ozempic face... I mean 'lean' phase and shrivel at the moment. Hopefully better films are around the corner.
