Last August 14th, we celebrated 25 years of the A Sridevi page, starting from its humble origins as an aggregate fan club till... date! We started on Sridevi's birthday, ie August 13, 2000, and uploaded a few of our favourite pics of Sridevi - all by the late great Gautama Rajadhykasha and Sridevi's personal favourite, Rakesh Shreshta - who is the only individual on the planet who has more pics of Sridevi than us!! We were live August 14th, as it took some time to upload and write and so on...
As per analytics, we have over 12.5 million views (to be exact - 12,669,041 views!), with daily updates (x 2), the most images, features, quotes, interviews and portraits of the Indian icon and legendary actress Sridevi. To spread the good and great pics of Sridevi, only many, we opted to not slap our logo or website ad on images. We don't own copyright to the pics - and neither do the morons who repost the pics and add their own edits, logos, website ads on them.
The Facebook group is mostly inactive with no updates, the tumblr I struggle with, the Twitter... well, only negative posts seem to get traction which I'm formidably opposed to... So the humble blogspot with no ads it is.
We remain around with new battles to fight; first it was the poor quality images that were online, then false reports and news, then just blatant lies, gossip, innuendo. This year we fight against ai images and clips that are rewriting the visual narrative of Sridevi. Fiction is taking over the Sridevi narrative not only with writing but images...
All these pics... they are all fake; its a simulation of Sridevi that's just a little askew - soon it'll be unrecognisable from the original Sridevi. I pray Indian celebrities fight for their rights.
