From yet another iconic song of the times; Ek aankh marun toh...
The most comprehensive fan blog dedicated to India's most beautiful and greatest actress of all-time (in our humble opine!), Sridevi. Sridevi aka Sreedevi, ruled Indian cinema (with awesome performances in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi films) in a career spanning 50 incredible years featuring 266 films. Born in Sivakasi on August 13 1963, her untimely and tragic death on February 24, 2018 left a nation in mourning. In our hearts, she'll forever be, the eternal Queen of Bollywood.

Pati, Patni aur Sridevi: Shobha Kapoor, Sridevi and Jeetendra
Typical of the Bollywood tabloids, there was much speculation on Sridevi and Jeetendra's off-screen relationship in the early 1980s. The awesome twosome were doing innumerable films together so the idiotic paparazzi started spreading baseless rumours. But it was all smoke, no fire.
To douse the gossip that were floating about, Jeetendra did a photo-shoot in his house, for Cine Blitz magazine with his off-screen partner and on-screen; wife Shobhaa Kapoor and actress Sridevi.
The troubles began harmlessly enough. Jeetendra was so effusive in his compliments of Sridevi that people started suspecting rubbish. None of it was true. Shobhaa Kapoor then and even now, says Sridevi is a wonderful person and laid rumours to rest. Sridevi said her only friends in the Hindi film industry were Jeetendra and wife Shobhaa and she was infuriated by the unnecessary and torrid speculation.
Also need to note, Jeetendra's eldest daughter, now television and film producer, Ekta Kapoor, was/is a massive Sridevi fan. She famously told a magazine editor that once, someone in her school bitched up to her and said, 'So your father's having an affair with Sridevi!' Ekta Kapoor, a legendary spitfire, shot back, 'Yeah, my father is. Your father can only dream about it.'
Lols.
Bless her.

Sridevi's golden outfit in Chaand Kaa Tukdaa (1994): Getting Ready: Cover Girl
Sridevi's gorgeous look from the song Aaj Raadha ko Shaam Yaad Aa Gaya from Chaand Kaa Tukdaa (1994). The film was an unmitigated flop but the song is lovely - sung by the divine Lata Mangeshkar.
Sridevi did a fabulous, graceful, gorgeous dance to go with the song - which was choreographed by Saroj Khan. Perhaps the only redeeming factor in the awful, awful film!

Even Sridevi has said she regrets doing the film but did it only upon the instigation of her co-star Salman Khan and producer/director Sawan Kumar Tak. Hmm.

Jeetendra and Sridevi in Aag aur Shola (1986)
The fun and frothy Bollywood pair of the 1980s; Sridevi and Jeetendra. Seen here from the film Aag Aur Shola (1986) from the popular number at the time, Aaj Subah Jab Main Jaga.
Just in one song, the duo did multiple outfit changes - the 80s equivalent of special effects!
Sung by the divine Lata Mangeshkar and Mohd Aziz, the song was such a rage in the 80s.. the film not so much. Sridevi essentially had one song and an extended cameo but the posters enlarged her images to mislead the audience into thinking she was the star of the film. Sridevi appeared all too briefly to support Jeetendra, her frequent collaborator and co-star. The movie tanked but didn't affect either star's status.
