As contrasting as night and day, Sridevi's dual whammy of looks for SIIMA 2014 was a double fashion victory. Peaches and cream one day, gauzy and glamorous the day after, her selects of ol' faithfuls Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Manish Malhotra (Bollywood sartorial staples), were a winner at the award show.
Truth be told some fashion critics (and by that we mean laptop jockeys with a blog and high-self-opinion/importance) didn't care for the pastels while others thought the gossamer sari too sensual. We, but of course, think, both looks on Sridevi were faultless.
She keeps fans guessing, excited at the permutations she makes on the red carpet, be it her accessories, hair-style, makeup or clothes, we can expect the unexpected from the Queen Bee of Bollywood. Never failing to surprise, we're constantly thrilled by her dramatic changes and fashionable revolutions, evolutions, exaltations...
She is neither as predictable as her contemporaries, nor as trendy as her juniors, but Sridevi's style is perennial. After all, fads fade, style is forever. So is Sridevi.
