Sridevi and Salman Khan in Chandra Mukhi (1993)

Sridevi in and as Chandra Mukhi, a title role written by her co-star Salman Khan no less. Sadly the film, a mish mash of Big and other fantasy films, just didn't work in any way. 

They looked so great together, even if the film was anything but!

And we do hold it against Salman Khan - he wrote this awful, awful flick. The ambition was to make a children's film to appeal to all ages - sadly, it was almost universally hated. I mean there are some shoddy shots of random animals that come out of nowhere in the film that are so badly interspersed throughout, its amateur hour - but featuring the biggest stars of the country with a huge budget.  

The songs are quiet good - Sridevi looks great throughout, but nothing could save this clunker. 

As Sridevi herself stated in interviews, she got maximum criticism for the two movies she did with Salman  Khan - though the two remain enduring and endearing friends all these years on. The producers have a different tale to tell I'm sure though..
