One of Sridevi's earlier Hindi films, she stars as Aasha, a woman in love with the super cop (yet another 'angry young man' role for Big B), Inspector Amar (Amitabh Bachchan).

With a dubbed voice and rocking some serious 1980s fashion, Sridevi looks like a doll in the
masala caper. With a 20+ year age gap, the tall superstars should have looked awkward together - but didn't. As Sridevi said during the peak of her career, she hardly did films with Big B as heroines rarely had much to do in an Amitabh Bachchan film - case in point, this film! She's there on screen for such little screen time.
How the tides changed when in 2012, Bachchan himself appeared briefly in
English Vinglish - which was entirely a Sridevi vehicle from the first frame till last.
Kader Khan, Ranjit, Shakti Kapoor and Utpal Dutt as Sridevi's father, also starred in this film.
