Ghai definitely had a falling out with la Dixit as he said some... strange things in the press.
Subhash Ghai, “Sridevi is No:1 and Madhuri is No: 8. No:2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, are all empty. Anyway nowadays the No 2 positions is like musical chairs; every six months there is a new number two. So let us not worry Madhuri about No 2, and No. 1. Let her grow gradually, because each plant takes its own time to become a tree.”
