One of Sridevi's rare public appearances in 2001, she came out of her self-imposed retirement for the Bollywood gathering, Filmfare Awards Nite. She was up on stage to present to newcomer, first-time nominee and winner Hrithik Roshan. She mentioned to him on stage, "I wish my daughter was here." And he laughed. FYI Sridevi's kids are huge fans of Hrithik Roshan and Priety Zinta.
