Sridevi walked into the audio launch of Loafer dressed super casually and super chic, looking gorgeous as usual. Straight from the sets of Judaai (which essentially has the same team, producer Boney Kapoor, actor Anil Kapoor), Sridevi was the surprise VIP guest at the event.
Loafer (which had Juhi Chawla and Anil Kapoor) fared well at the box-office and the music was all right - but Sridevi's elegant appearance surprised many (Sridevi being notoriously shy, rarely attended events in her heyday).
As the VVVIP guest who launched the audio tape and CD, dressed in a simple printed top and black slacks, many commented how stunning Sridevi looks in person.

Rumours about Boney Kapoor and Sridevi were fanning the press... this was long before Sridevi and Boney Kapoor went public regarding their relationship. Not wanting to egg the paparazzi on, they kept a furtive distance from each other, throughout the event in the summer of 1996.
