A little (a lot!) over the top by today's standards, Sridevi got all the applause when Laadla released in the early '90s. A flawed film... (ask any feminist!) worth watching only to see Sri's fine act. The movie released after a spate of flops for Sridevi and its success and reviews proved once again, you can't keep a good woman down.
