Sridevi on the sets of Gurudev (1993). One of many films where Sridevi had a double-role. One, a sophisticated star and dancing diva and the other, a booze-peddling bar gal with a naughty streak. She played both characters with such élan and ease. As usual.
The film had lovely songs and parts of the film were great fun. Sadly, the original director of the film (actor turned director Vinod Mehra) passed away in the middle of making the movie. Another director came in to complete the work and the disjointed film was met with a lukewarm reception at the box-office, despite the stellar cast.
