In Filmfare's India's biggest Movie Icons issue, Sridevi was listed as No: 4.
4. Child Woman
Sridevi
She was the only actor perhaps who was able to say no to films with Amitabh Bachchan and yet came up trumps. She was our highest paid acress at one point and filmkaers clamouring to give her author backed roles. It was Sridevi's forte that she made even the ridiculous look sublime. Even in films like Nagina, where she played a snake woman, you didn't dismiss her but stayed riveteted to the screen. You woke up and took notice when she made love to thin air in the Kate nahin katte song, again the absurdity didn't compel you to take a smoking break. Sridevi's trump card was her versatility, as evident in the Seeta Aur Geeta remake, Chaalbaaz.
