The most comprehensive fan blog dedicated to India's most beautiful and greatest actress of all-time (in our humble opine!), Sridevi. Sridevi aka Sreedevi, ruled Indian cinema (with awesome performances in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi films) in a career spanning 50 incredible years featuring 266 films. Born in Sivakasi on August 13 1963, her untimely and tragic death on February 24, 2018 left a nation in mourning. In our hearts, she'll forever be, the eternal Queen of Bollywood.

Sridevi and Sonam Kapooor at Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi Premiere: Parineeti Chopra fans out at Sridevi
Well, more of a preview than a premiere per se, perhaps but Sridevi accompanied by her eldest daughter Janhvi Kapoor and husband Boney Kapoor, attended a special screening of Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi on August 25, 2012.
Sridevi told Farah Khan that she loved the film and Farha, in her admirable bluntness and unique sense of humour, said she wanted to faint! Bless.
The papz of course went crazy when Boney Kapoor's niece and fashionista Sonam Kapoor posed next to Sridevi.
If Sonam seemed a tad overdressed, in a Shehla Khan outfit, she had just rushed to the screening after walking the ramp for IIJW finale show.
As the legendary actress Sridevi posed with the starlet Sonam, it was a mutual admiration society meet. Adding to that, newcomer Parineeti Chopra, who let Sridevi know what a huge fan she is.

Ajith with Sridevi on the Tamil sets of English Vinglish: movie is dubbed as Aangilam Vaangilam

Ajith on the sets of English Vinglish (2012). In the Tamil version of the film - as the movie is also due for release in Southern India as Sridevi is indeed a pan-Indian superstar - Ajith replaces Amitabh Bachchan's cameo. Very excited to watch all versions!
"There's something about South Indian superstars; they are so unbelievably down to earth and unassuming," says writer/director of English Vinglish, Gauri Shinde. "It was a mere phone-call and he was on board. And we were thrilled. Ajith hadn't been working on a film for a while and as soon as we said, its with Sridevi, he said, 'Yes' almost immediately. Like most of us, he was also a fan."
"And I can't tell you how humble he was. The cast and crew were sort of in awe and deeply in love with him from the word go. He even tried to help out move the lights and he kept asking us what else he could do. We had him for just one day - we chased him to sit down and relax. He's just one of the loveliest people ever."

Sridevi’s gift to her daughters

When Sridevi was shooting in the US for her upcoming film English Vinglish, it was the first time that she couldn’t take her daughters along. It’s a known fact that Sridevi is extremely close to her daughters and she can’t afford to leave them alone even for a minute. So much so, that the pretty actor makes it a point to take them with her wherever she goes. Take any award function or fashion show, Sridevi is always seen with her daughters.
However, the one time she had to leave them behind was during the shoot, that too because of her hectic schedule, which was out of the country. Says a source, “Sridevi was feeling very guilty about leaving her daughters behind, so she made up for it by getting two puppies for her daughters as a small gift.”
English Vinglish directed by debutant director Gauri Shinde marks the comeback of Sridevi after a 14-year sabbatical and has her playing a homemaker who enrolls for an English speaking course. The film is being screened at the Toronto International Film Festival.
