Devi and Dixit: The first on screen appearance of Bollywood icons Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit on a reality show

Forget the moon landing, this was momentous TV! When the grand dames of Indian cinema, Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit met, hugged and danced on the sets of reality TV show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in 2012.  

Pretty in pink (times two!), the ladies didn't disappoint. Both looked stunning and were picture perfect, danced to each other's tunes - Sridevi did a jiggy on Dhak dhak karne laga and Madhuri made a go at Mere Haathon Main. There was a quick rapid fire Q&A with Karan Johar and Manish Paul's famously funny flirtations with both; failing, but fun! 

The alleged warfare between the two leading ladies has clearly been played out - only in the imagination of respective fans and scribes, trying to sell magazines through paper wars. 

It would take someone with serious chutzpah to get these fine and fab actresses on screen together in a film - that would satisfy their respective, somewhat hostile, respective fan clubs!

Be it the contestants or the fellow judges Karan Johar or Remo D'Souza, all wanted a picture together with Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit; a once in a lifetime opportunity.
