Gauri Shinde, Sridevi excited about ENGLISH VINGLISH TV premiere

When Gauri Shinde geared to make a project close to her heart, little did the debutante director know, the impact the film would have on the audience, both critically and commercially.

While ENGLISH VINGLISH went on to have cash registers ringing at the box office, the good feedback came the director's way even after the DVD was officially launched in November.

Says Gauri Shinde, ''It was whole set of new reactions when the DVD launched. Apart from the repeat viewers ...people who didn't get to watch it in theatres saw it for the first time on DVD and have not held themselves back in their positive reactions. What is most rewarding to me is when individuals and groups tell me how the film has touched their lives.''

After the successful launch of the DVD, Gauri is now excited as the film is soon to premiere on Indian television this 29th December.

Ecstatic about it says Gauri, ''With the television premiere of ENGLISH VINGLISH, so many women who were not able to get out and watch the film will be able to do that and I am excited to see the reaction. Women have come up to me and said its their own story and how some men have said that they have changed their behavior towards their wives etc. That's the biggest and greatest feeling for me and I can't wait for the nation to watch it."

Says leading lady Sridevi, "29th December will be exciting. My film ENGLISH VINGLISH will have its first TV premiere and the grand finale of my husband's show 'Sur Kshetra'.
