Sridevi on the sets of the film Bhagwaan Daada back in 1986. Sridevi as a street walker, she did mention that she had a mental block against playing risqué roles.
Instead of sexuality or sensuality though, Sridevi's take was essentially comedic. Rekha brought sensuality to the trope, Meena Kumari tragedy, Sridevi found the funny bone. The deliberate campy makeup, gaudy clothes, the imposter jewellery, it was all part and parcel of the role which she did with comic genius flare. Rare stills with Rakesh Roshan below.
