With English Vinglish having its mega-moment in cinema halls around the globe since its initial release back in 2012, it has been widely reported how well-received the gem of movie was in Japan recnetly. After drawing parallels with southern superstar Rajinikanth and his unprecedented popularity in the far-east, Japanese fans of Sridevi have drawn not only inspiration from her, but drawn her in a signature anime fashion.
And we LOVE IT!
A glimpse of Sridevi and Jeetendra from their hay-day, Sridevi's first superhit (one of many that followed) song/film combo (Nainon mein sapna from Himmatwala, 1983) has been captured in a single frame oh-so-adorably! We love it. Don't you?!

UPDATE: Another fan sketch from Japan as "Madam in New York" i.e. the Japanese dubbed version of English Vinglish, conquers hearts of a new cine-loving audience.
We love this impression of Sridevi... reminds us of the drawing style of beloved Indian cartoonist R.K.Laxman.
