Sridevi and Kamal Haasan in the Telugu comedy Okka Radha Iddaru Krishnulu (1986)

Oka Radha Iddaru Krishnulu is a Telugu comedy with Kamal Haasan in a double role. Sridevi was the lead lady. As both stars were equally popular in Tamil Nadu, the film was dubbed into Tamil as "Hare Radha Hare Krishna".

By 1986, Sridevi was a bigger all-India star. Though the two appeared in about 27 films together, this flop was the final nail in the coffin for a film starring the two together ever again. Many producers, directors and writers tried to get the superstars to work on a film again - our blog is littered with newsbytes stating how often Kamal Haasan tried to rope in Sridevi into one more film. But either she was unhappy with her role, the script or she was too busy in Hindi film, with marriage and rearing her two girls. Pity.
