Wow. How much film journalism has changed. To use the same shoot on two rival magazine covers - this would never, ever happen today. But it was the wild, wild east in the late 1980s/early '90s. Sridevi rarely had time for photo-shoots as she was the busiest working actress. Shot by late great Gautam Rajadhyaksha.

Sridevi Honoured by GQ for Excellence in Acting

At the recently held GQ Men of the Year Awards (!), Sridevi was honored with a trophy for ‘Excellence in Acting’. She attended the event with her film-producer husband Boney Kapoor and was sporting an embellished ensemble by the designer-to-the-stars, her best friend and frequent collaborator and designer, Manish Malhotra.

When she walked up on stage, Manish helped walk her up to the dais, while she received a standing ovation among the glitterati. Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh were some of the many who congratulated the diva-licious actress. As she stepped down after picking up her award, ants-in-pants Ranveer Singh jumped up to help her walk down the stairs and her perilously high heels.
