Rahul Roy with Sridevi at the beach: Rare pics from Gumrah (1993)



From a lovely song that was in the album, but cut in the film Gumraah, Rahul Roy and Sridevi. Yeh zindagi ka safar was a melodious ghazal that didn't make the final edit. Shame. Would love to see it in director's cut dvd.... How cute Sri looks.

    This film, Gumrah, was based on an Australian mini series with Nicole Kidman in the lead role. If one watches both the movies frame by frame then Sridevi's performance will be found at par, if not superior, to that of Kidman, one of the greatest actors of her time. Sridevi remains underrated and perhaps deprived of more recognition she deserved for.

      She got the accolades and recognition but her starpower overshadowed and tricked her into doing more of commercial movies.

    I can't agree more.Sridevi's performance in Gumrah is one of the most underrated performances in Cinema history.Remember d airport interrogation scene??
