Jeetendra and Sridevi: 16 films together!

Well, she looks like a doll - and considering their age gap, Sridevi was a kid! But the perpetually fit Jeetendra matched steps with his much younger co-star of several years for several years. From 1983 to 1988, in five years they appeared in a whopping 16 films together.

Shot back to back with often the same look and style, Sridevi herself confessed when she looked at images from the 1980s, she didn't know which picture was from which film. The same confusion plagues us on this site too, despite our best intentions to be accurate and factual.

Here's a handy tip given to us by Muvyz - and we lol'd.

If you're wondering how they did so many movies in such a short time, remember, most of the films were remakes, shot in under a month and it really was a Bollywood dream factory; more factory than dream. Sridevi stated that she worked six days a week, three shifts a day, non-stop for years. 

The Jeetendra - Sridevi combo of 16 films were a statistical success, over 80 per cent of the films were a hit, which is why producers repeated them. People forget its a 'business', for all the art and glamour and razzmatazz, only the fittest survived. If your films flopped - no matter who your relative in the industry was - you were out!
