Released in the same year as Himmatwala, Sridevi and Kunal Goswami (son of Manoj Kumar - nepotism didn't begin or end in 2018!) in Kalaakar (1983). Released in December, the film with its tragic story line was a flop. The music and the leading lady, were a hit.
Yesteryear's legends all tried to launch their sons and daughters with about 90% failure rate as actors/stars. Kunal found success in business that he didn't on screen. At some point the delusion has to evaporate and reality sink in; either you have it or don't.

At age 20, Sridevi was rocking contemporary early 1980s fashion in Bollywood throughout the film. Though to be honest, she looked better in the saris and salwars.
(L) Sridevi with music director Bappi Lahiri. The music of the film was composed by Kalyanji–Anandji - Bappi da had a brief cameo on the film.
Above: Sridevi with Kunal Goswami from the film Kalaakaar (1983). The actor was tall and sincere but there was obviously something missing as entire filmography is full of flops. Even Kumar Gaurav gave 'a' hit.
