Released days before her birthday (11 August, 1989) by producer and director Harmesh Malhotra, the movie wasn't a patch on its predecessor but has its fare share of fans - us included! The movie broke even, had a strong opening but the dubiously familiar plot (it has all the same beats as Nagina) led to its dramatic fall at the box-office soon after.
