Sridevi on the sets of Gurudev: Double Role for a Bollywood Queen

Oh those painted jeans were worn by Sridevi long before the fad came into being. A look at Sridevi at the launch of the film Gurudev - and later in the final scenes of the film. The movie was delayed in production due to unavoidable and tragic circumstances (director Vinod Mehra sadly passed away mid-way through making the film). The cast and crew pulled together to complete the film and honour Mehra's memory.

When the film first started, Sridevi had a certain look as the barkeep in Gurudev. Sridevi reprised the role with a new director with a more polished avataar.  

The film had its moments but the long production delays and edits didn't help the movie's fate at the box-office. 

The film started in 1988 - and was released in 1993!
