Legend had it that when Sridevi was questioned about the failure of the film Chand Ka Tukda, she responded that Sawan Kumar Tak, the film's producer, director, lyricist, writer.... did not shoot what he narrated to her. Sawan had narrated two lines to her which she felt was a good idea. Initially. 

Sawaan Kumar Tak kept calling Sridevi and insisting she do the film. Sridevi was reluctant and finally agreed. When the shooting started she noticed Sawaan Kumar Tak was constantly rewriting and changing his script. This annoyed the actress, but it was too late to back out of the film.
