The word 'icon' is so overused that it looses merit. But Nagina was such a defining film that catapulted Sridevi from being one of the top actresses of her time - to supernova.

People were looking at box-office figures of her two films in 1986, Karma and Nagina, and commenting the way the world looks at Marvel numbers.

While Karma was a multi-starcast, Sridevi snaked away with all the credit for Nagina's mammoth box-office run, particularly her finale dance number.

The poses, her look, the outfit, the jewellery, the blue lenses... everything came down to Sridevi, although she gives credit to the choreographer, director and co-star Rishi Kapoor too.

But every pose from the song remains truly iconic.
