Sridevi fan art: From Tohfa: The Jeetendra - Sridevi combo of Bollywood Blockbusters

From Anumation: "Sridevi was one of my favourite Indian actresses. Even before her death a few days ago, I would often wonder, “If I were to draw an iconic look of hers, which one would it be?” She had so many classic looks (as a snake in Nagina, all her classy chiffon saris, etc), but as a tribute, I chose this one. It may not be her most well-known performance, but it was pretty meaningful for me: When I was a kid, we had a VHS tape with a whole bunch of random Bollywood videos on it. Im pretty sure that was how my love for Hindi movies started, because I watched it almost everyday and wore out the tape. One of the songs on there was called “Gori Tere Ang Ang” from the movie Tofa which starred Jeteendra and the Sridevi. I remember being obsessed with her glittery costumes and her dance moves among hundreds of metal pots by the water. Soon after, Sridevi became one of my favourite Indian icons. I’m sad she’s gone, but I’m thankful for the memories her films provided. Imma go watch Chandni now 🙏🏽
