Happy Birthday Jeetendra!

Born on April 7, 1942, Sridevi's frequent co-star Jeetendra turns 78 today. The duo appeared in 16 films together and in many ways, Jeetendra is responsible for Sri's re-introduction to Bollywood as she was originally reluctant to return to Hindi films after her debut Solva Saawan flopped.

After the overwhelming success of Himmatwala, the biggest hit of 1983, she never looked back. The two were such frequent co-stars that even we have a hard time deciphering which image is from which film. In '83 alone, Sridevi and Jeetendra had four releases; Himmatwala being the first followed by Justice Chaudhary, Mawaali and Jaani Dost. All of them were box-office hits!
