Not only were Telugu superstars Sridevi and Chiranjeevi co-stars, they were great family friends. This quote and statement from Chiranjeevi, when news broke of Sri's untimely passing, says it all.

She had been doing films since her childhood. Her role as Athiloka Sundari is ever remembered in Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari. Sridevi and her husband are good family friends to us. Sridevi garu and Boney Kapoor garu attended to my 60th birthday celebrations and conveyed their wishes to me. I hope her soul rests in peace."
