Happy Birthday Aasha Bhosle! Playback singer for Sridevi's cutest songs

The legendary singer Aasha Bhosle celebrates her 87th birthday today - Sridevi's association with the singer goes back to the earliest days. Aashaji has sung so many songs for her over the years. 

Most notably, Aashaji DID NOT sing Hawa Hawaii - though she was meant to. It was recorded with Kavita Krishnamurthy's voice as Aashaji was on tour doing international concerts. Kavita Krishnamurthy sang the song so well at the recording, it was retained and changed the course of her career.

Ashaji sang so many memorable numbers for Sridevi; from the fun Mama Miya, Taki Taki to Parbat se Kaali Khata... in Chandni, the songs of Gurudev from the peppy Mera Kaha Manoge to the frothy Aana re Aana re and the adorable Jaipur Se Nikli Gaadi.
