Though many writers and bloggers wrote that Judaai was Sridevi's last film before she took her long break... it wasn't. It was her last hit for sure.
Judaai was released on 28 February 1997, but a few months later, Kaun Sachcha Kaun Jhootha was released on 11 April 1997 (and the less said the better about Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin released on 2 July 2004!).
Not many remember the last film Sridevi and Rishi Kapoor did together - it had a very tepid response by critics and audiences alike (although a TV scribe pointed out that the murder mystery always does well in TRP ratings when telecast).
A friend pointed out that we were too pedantic, too much policing about information about Sridevi - but with so many inaccuracies and wild falsehoods spread like a virus about the late actress, the least we can do is get a few facts straight. So we are adamant about her number of films - its not 300 - about her awards - no she didn't win for Sadma... and something as seemingly trivial as Judaai was her last film before she went on hiatus!
The trouble with the net is, opinion substitutes for fact. Which we just can't abide by.We can honour the actress by simple truths. Her legend can stand up to it.
