Born in Sivakasi on August 13 1963, her untimely and tragic death on February 24, 2018 left a nation in mourning. In our hearts, she'll forever be, the eternal Queen of Bollywood.
Featuring icons of Tamil cinema, Kamal Haasan and Sridevi, the movie was 'the' blockbuster of '78. It won two Filmfare Awards, Best Actor and Best Director - notice yet again, Sridevi was kept at arm's length by the jury!
The film was later remade in Hindi as Red Rose (1980).
