Sridevi and Rekha share magazine cover real estate: Tabloid queens of Bollywood in the 1980s!
You'll notice a trend in media; pitting actresses against each other for no rhyme nor reason; first it was Sridevi vs Rekha (even though they were friends), then Jaya Prada vs Sridevi (a fractured relationship that eventually found peace) and then Sridevi vs Madhuri Dixit (an entirely magazine manufactured war).
Its the oldest trop in the book, two ladies can't get along with each other. Funnily enough, each actress said, they weren't competing with the other; there were on average 400 films being made annually, you can be in all of them - there was plenty of space for many a leading lady in the Indian film industry.
