Despite their age difference - Vinod Khanna was 17 years older than Sridevi - they worked in five films together, only three were released. During his prime, Vinod Khanna was a dashing looking screen icon - he started off his career as a villain but his looks were so distracting that he signed a record number of films as a leading man soon after his first few movies. Actress Tanuja described the incident where she was working on a film where Vinod was the villain but she couldn't stop looking at her handsome antagonist with affection!
Though the first film Sridevi and Vinod Khanna signed together as costars was Ramesh Sippy's Zameen - which never released - their second film, Chandni was a runaway blockbuster and the two signed a handful of films together. Not all made it to theatres though...
