Mickey Contractor is the make-up magician whose touch can transform stars into ethereal beings. His flair for the drape, his deftness with the hair , and his flourish with colours have made him a favourite of Sridevi, Rekha, Hema, Juhi for whom he does make-up on special occasions.
This month, he has a 'brush' with Sridevi. He studies the face of the decade, and advises on how it can be enhanced with make-up
Face: Round, like her eyes
Asset: Her mouth and smile
Sensitive about (to an extent): Her nose
Lipstick: Lighter shades suit her. Colours, almost any, ranging from pinks and blues to bronzes and golds
Look: Innocent, baby doll. With a bit of effort, can look seductive too. Very seductive.
MOVIE point of View
Mickey Contractor says, "Her face is round and so are her eyes and even her eyebrows are semi-circular. Her round face is fine for the baby doll innocent look, but for a more seductive appearance, I elongate her eyes and even her eyebrows to give then a slanted look. To make her face look less round, and more big, shading her cheeks and cheekbones helps."
Her lips are full and have a good shape. Though, she personally prefers darker shades, Mickey firmly believes that "brighter shades suits her better. Only where the outfit is ultra glamorous, I use darker shades."
Sridevi can carry off a western vogue look with as much panache and style as she can an Indian look."
