Produced by Boney Kapoor, the award-winning film Pukar was released on Feb 4, 2000. On its 22nd anniversary, on his official Instagram handle, Boney Kapoor posted this rarely seen image of himself, Sridevi and Lata Mangeshkar on the sets of the film.
His caption, ""Will remain eternally grateful to Lataji for honouring us by agreeing to enact her song for our film, Pukar, a rare gesture... I will cherish forever."
Sridevi spoke to Lataji before the shoot and the two discussed what she'd wear on screen. Though Sridevi suggested a colourful sari, Lataji preferred wearing a traditional white sari with a red border. Sridevi relented saying, "Whatever you want Didi."
