The biggest movie of its time, it was the most expensive Indian film ever made back in the 90s - now of course budgets have gone stratospheric.
The film was dubbed as the biggest flop of all time... and tbh it wasn't! But returns on investment were clearly not made. Now, there are much bigger flops too that makes this film go down the list of debacales.
Here's a record the film still holds - the most grand premiere of all-time. More stars attended the premiere than an average award show. Everyone from the industry turned up - including the grand coming together of Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit during the peak of their fame and battle to be/remain Number One! Amitabh Bachchan famously directed the two leading ladies into the same frame!
