Sridevi and Jaya Bachchan

But Seriously....

There's a certain faction of the fan club that can't tolerate any criticism - constructive or otherwise - of their icon. Years ago in a column, Jaya Bachchan had said in Filmfare that Sridevi wasn't perfect and she "didn't like her voice" - it wasn't said with any malice but an actor reflecting on another that Sridevi needs to work on voice modulation, better articulation on screen (paraphrasing here).

When we posted this earlier, the fanatics went ape-shit and came down heavily on Mrs B in the most callous manner. But we filtered out the trash real fast. Editing is a gift.

Both leading ladies have interacted with each other for years - with mutual respect and affection. Jayaji has been benevolently protective of Sridevi too (scroll through the archives).

Correction isn't always a harsh criticism. Unlike the snowflake-participation-trophy-gen, some of us were rectified by constructive feedback. Sridevi's harshest critic was herself (and her immediate family - as mentioned in past interviews).

For those still grotesquely offended; here's a Rupee, buy a clue!
