Farishtay was an unbearable slog of a movie with A-list stars and Anil Gaddar Sharma directing. It was completely written off when it first released and was hated by all critics and most audiences. A nod to the star power of Dharmendra, Rajinikanth, Vinod Khanna, Sridevi - the film's opening weekend saved the producer from complete bankruptcy. Made on a budget of Rs 7.82 crore, the film made over Rs 12.7 crore for the only female producers in Bollywood at the time; Sattee Shourie and her daughter Mona Kapoor. 

A lotttttt of shizz went down during the making of the much delayed film that was launched in 1988 and released on 22 Feb, 1991!
