Mani Ratnam's epic is already making headlines long before its release - what an incredible lineup of A-list stars. 

However, this dream project has been long in the making. Had it been made in the 80s, it would have had a cast of  Kamal Haasan, Vijayakanth, Rajinikanth, Sathyaraj, Sridevi, Radha and Rekha! 

Alas, for various reasons, it didn't happen. 

We can't wait to watch the film...
