Rare pics of Sridevi in white in the Hindi film Karma (1986)
Shot in the early 1980s over a period of 14 months,, this was the first film set where Sridevi worked with Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. The only film Sridevi (and Poonam Dhillon) worked with Subash Ghai,
Clearly something was amiss as Ghai and Sridevi never worked together again - although he praised Sridevi's performance in English Vinglish to the skies when it was released decades later. Karma was re- screened on 4th April 2018 at Subash Ghai's theater, New Excelsior Mukta, a week after the tragic death of Sridevi, to pay a tribute to her.
