Well, its probably my all-time favourite Sridevi film. Lamhe. A polarising movie that has very vocal critics, as it does a cult following,
The music, the locations, gorgeous Rajasthan, Sridevi's distinct double-act (so different from Chaalbaaz) Sri's costumes, Waheeda Rehman's royal elegance, Anil Kapoor's earnestness, the visuals, the drama, the heightened moments in the film, the musical medley, that bit when Waheeda bursts into Kaaton se kheench ke and the audience whooped... so many, many gorgeous memories, capped with Sridevi's triumphant Best Actress win and her shy speech.
Can hum the tune of Kabhi main kahun... but Morni is deeply etched in memory.
