Growing up in the 90s, there are so many images and team members of a photoshoot who rarely got credit in magazines (I know I used to work for one!) and we'd wonder, who shot this, who lit this, who was the creative genius behind the scenes. I remember early works of Gautam da and I noted how often Rakesh Shreshta worked with Sridevi (or perhaps that's vice versa as Sridevi was the most powerful person on set any given day!) and I remember a young Dabboo Ratnani, changing the game. Now of course, there are so many talents, we can barely keep track. But we love to find new gen photographers who are doing things different.
We have other amazing pics of Sridevi shot by Pavitr in the archive here - we've tried to interview him for the site (and even hire him) but the busy working man has little time for NRI bloggers from after.
Sridevi here in a simple sari with the no-makeup makeup look... so staggeringly beautiful.
