Sridevi and Sunny Deol in Sultanat

Released on 11 March 1986 after a long delay in production, Sultanat should have been an epic blockbuster, but ended up as a damp squib at the box-office. 

Sridevi's magnificent in the film - her song and dance numbers are the best and she's so naturally regal and glorious, she was born to play Queen on screen!  

Sunny Deol and Sridevi in the early days were sex symbols of Bollywood. Young, hot, fit and challenging the status quo. Betaab (Sunny's first film) and Himmatwala (Sridevi's first Hindi blockbuster) both released in 1983 and both were hits, the two started working on the film Sultanat in 1984!
