Sridevi Ghibli-fied: AI's hostile, malicious takeover.
Studio Ghibli's famed co-founder Hayao "Maestro" Miyazaki, has expressed strong disapproval of AI-generated images that mimic their distinctive animation style in the past. Miyazaki has called AI-generated animation "utterly disgusting" and "an insult to life itself"-- which is why I am so reluctant to post this viral image of Sridevi, from the sets of English Vinglish back in 2012, that has been Ghibli-fied and is trending on social media.
A long time hater of fake images, fake news, fake newsbytes, this is adding to the pile of grievances. The truth matters; every iteration of falsehood diminishes us.
