Sridevi with ANR: The 40 Year Age Gap

The age-old issue, the age gap issue! 

Sridevi worked with Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, aka ANR (gen x might know him as Nagarjuna's father), who was 40 years her senior! She worked with him as a child star, then leading lady in Telugu cinema in one hit another another. 

Remembering ANR on his birth anniversary today; the cine-legend was born in Andhra Pradesh on 20 September 1923.

Despite the significant age difference, their on-screen chemistry was appreciated, and most, if not ALL, of these films were commercial successes, often family dramas or emotional stories. 

Premabhishekam (directed by Dasari Narayana Rao) is particularly notable as one of the biggest hits in Telugu cinema history. Sridevi also appeared as a child artist in some earlier ANR films (e.g., Srimanthudu in 1971), but those are not lead pairings. Here's what I know so far;
