Julia Roberts, the Sridevi of Hollywood [let's turn the tables shall we?1], gets a standing ovation at Golden Globes 2026. Proving once again, she is the world's favourite actress and superstar, just being in the room was enough to have a room full of celebrities and other superstars fan out at the iconic actress.
As our famous fan link shows, Sridevi had her own entourage of superstars who were her fans. Even her contemporaries' were fans of Sri, let alone new gen.
BTW did ya know back in the early 90s Pankaj Parasher (director of Chaalbaaz), brought up the notion of remaking Pretty Woman (the role Roberts is most known for, despite her Oscar win for Erin Brockovich!) in Hindi with Sridevi and Jackie Shroff. Legend has it Sridevi entertained the idea for a second but ultimately went on to reject is as she wasn't comfortable with the notion of a street-walker. Tbh that mix of comedy and gravitas, Sridevi could have killed it. Alas, the loss is ours - the audience.
