Seen here on the sets of Aag aur Shola (1986), oh so pretty Sridevi in her pink salwaar-kameez. This mishmash of different Indian styling was all the rage after Sri incorporated it so elegantly in the movie. Sridevi had a guest spot in the film but she was all over the publicity shots in the movie - hence we find a plethora of images of Sridevi from a film she was barely in.
The film neither added nor took anything away from her career; she did the role just for Jeetendra, her most frequent co-star (at the time), film producer and friend. What she didn't expect, a fashion moment and movement; her salwaars were all the rage from this film.
For fans who go searching for her in the movie, be warned, she doesn't appear till hours into the (long and tedious) film and after a song and a scene, she disappears.
What endures, her fashion legacy from the film - the festival of colours is all but accounted for here.
