Sridevi and Kamal Haasan in the Tamil film Guru (1980)

 

There are so many Indian films with the title Guru, it's painful to sort it out in a cohesive manner - Sridevi herself did two movies titled Guru - one in 1980 with Kamal Haasan, a bilingual film in Tamil/Telugu,  which was a hit at the box-office and liked by the critics. 

The other she did in Hindi with Mithun Chakraborthy, that was hated by the critics but it was a blockbuster back in 989. 

Then of course, Guru in 2007 with Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai... 

Waiting to watch the Tamil film - btw - all these movies had different stories, cast and crew and have no link to the other.
