Wonder why south Indian women always do exceptionally well in Bollywood, but not so the actors. Be it a thespian like Kamal Haasan or a superstar like Rajinikanth (who is btw Marathi, Shivaji Rao Gaekwad) who is now considered a pan-Indian legend but in the 80s and 90s, he rarely got top billing in Hindi films.
The ladies always did well - from Vyjanthimala to Aishwarya Rai - southen belles do exceptionally well in Bollywood.
